Elections and CMI Conference

It seems like everyone is talking about the elections but did you know that tomorrow is voting day? However, unless you are a Ukrainian citizen you don’t have to run to the polling booth quite yet.

Sunday October 28th is polling day in Ukraine and we would appreciate your prayers. As I mentioned in October’s update new laws are making it increasingly difficult for our teammates to receive visas and registration here in Ukraine.  However, this could change after the elections for better or for worse.  Here are a few ways you can pray for the elections tomorrow in Ukraine.

  • Pray for an honest and just voting process
  • Pray that those elected would protect religious freedoms
  • Pray that those elected would not make the visa and registration laws more difficult

CMI Conference

On Monday I will be driving with a few other men to attend our CMI’s annual conference in Western Ukraine, October 29-November 1.

Would you please pray for us as we travel and for the success of this important conference?  This is the most vital 3 days of the year for the CMI as we gather all our Bible school teacher and directors for 3 days of teaching, encouragement and fellowship. The 25 men who will be there represent about 250 students and dozens of local churches.

Here are a few ways you actively pray for us next week.

  • Pray for safety as we drive and no breakdowns or blowouts
  • Pray for the encouragement and edification of each participant
  • Pray for those who will be speaking and teaching
  • Pray for God’s direction and we make some decisions about the 12/13 school year
