We Need More Than Political Peace

Violence, fighting and war continue to increase in this world. It’s a problem that our governments and military will never completely solve.

Yet peace is not far off!

In today’s world, peace is sought after by nearly everyone but it is rarely found. Some have even called political peace a time to reload, unfortunately, that statement is more accurate than I’d like to admit!
The peace that God offers us through Jesus is unique. Unlike political peace, it’s not a time to reload! Jesus satisfies our greatest need for peace on the heart level. He allows us to have peace with God.
‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.’ (John 14:27)
Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:14 that Jesus is our peace. He stands between us and God because he satisfied God’s judgement on our sin by providing a perfect sacrifice when he died on the cross. As a result, we can have peace with God when we trust in Jesus’ work on our behalf.
No one can take that kind of peace away from you and no fear can stand against it. It’s a peace that will be with you for eternity!

There is so much truth in John 14:27. It is my prayer that more and more people would realize that this world has little to offer us, and yet God has given us all we need in His precious Son. Loved the book, Caleb. Thanks for the reminder today that even though this world isn’t easy, no one can steal God’s peace from us. Blessings to you and yours.

What a great perspective as political turmoil erupts all around. True peace is a different matter.

I’ve come to the conclusion that politics will never truly be peaceful!
