“Christmas in My Heart” -A Gospel Story for Orphans in Ukraine
This Christmas season we are working with author and pastor’s wife Yuliana Karaman to reach orphans in Ukraine with the true Christmas message of Jesus Christ. In December and January Yuliana and our team are taking the book to orphanages in Ukraine. Orphans will get to meet the author and will receive a special Christmas care package along with the book “Christmas in My Heart.”
We are printing 500 books exclusively for orphans. That means 500 orphans will get a copy of the book and a care package.
The story of an orphan
“Christmas in My Heart” tells the story of an orphan girl whose life was changed by the message of Christ, which makes it an ideal book to give to these children who are deprived of parental love that may come to know the love of Christ.
Yuliana writes:
“This is the story of a girl who grew up cold and alone in a shelter for children, but then one Christmas Day she has found the love of a Heavenly Father, who does not leave His children even if they’ve been left by their mother. Every line breathes with hope and the good news of Christmas.”
The true Christmas story
In today’s culture the true meaning of Christmas is quickly fading away. For most children, Christmas is Santa Claus, Christmas trees and gifts. For orphans who don’t have parents to tell them about Christmas the situation is worse. Most orphans have no idea what Christmas is all about, they have no idea that it is a holiday full of hope for them personally!
“Christmas in my heart,” is a book that tells the true story of Christmas! The book is written in a simple and easy to follow style so that children and youth can quickly read it and share it with their friends. The book is more than just a story, it will help children to realize that Christmas is a unique holiday in which we find the gift of the Christ Child.
Designed for children
Not only is it a book with a clear gospel message but it also is designed with children in mind. We created the cover and art in the book so that it would catch children’s interest. It gives the readers a sense of the wonder and enchantment found inside. Irina, our illustrator worked hard making beautiful art throughout the book, children will be pleased to turn page after page, reading the text and enjoying the beautiful and classic pictures.
A special Christmas gift
We will conduct special Christmas get-togethers with the orphans where they can hear Yuliana, the author, read from a section of the book and have her sign their personal copy as they receive their care packages.
We believe having a visit from the author of the book will make it that much more special for the children. Our main goal is to let them know that the true meaning of Christmas is not just Christmas tree and gifts, but the birth of the Savior Jesus Christ!
Join us
We invite you to join us in sharing the gospel to these orphans this Christmas season. Each care package along with the book costs only around $3. That might not seem like much but it will mean a lot to the orphan who receives the gift and learns of the love of his Heavenly Father!
We are planning to give out 500 books and 500 care packages but we can only do this as funds allow!
