I have to say “thank you!”‘ to all who were praying for us this past weekend. Misha and I traveled to the city of Nickolaev, about 2 hours from Odessa. We were invited to share the Good Soil evangelism and discipleship seminar with a group of church leaders from the region.
We were expecting about 20 but ended up with nearly 30 pastors at the seminar. We began on Friday night and continued until lunch on Saturday. These men represent about 15 different churches in the Nickolaev region.
It’s always a privilege to share with men who are working hard in their local churches preaching and teaching about Jesus! I shared with the men that Nickolaev is a special city for our family because my wife, Christina, was born in Nickolaev.
As a result of this seminar they have already asked us to come back to do another seminar for church members.
Pastor Nickolai is responsible for all the churches in the Nickolaev region. I appreciated the way he encouraged the other pastors to boldly preach the gospel.
Pastor Alexander graciously opened his church for our seminar. He asked that we would pray for the leadership team in this church and that he would be able to find a replacement for himself as he will soon be retiring.

December 19, 2012Dear Caleb and Christina and all the kids,
Thank you for your faithfulness in serving God there in the Ukraine and Moldova. We are working with Child Evangelism Fellowship here in northern California. We have to resign from New Tribes because of Cindy’s dad; he has dementia. Pray for us as we are on the learning curve again. Going to Mexico to visit Elise for Christmas!
Love always, Jim and Cindy
