I know that the US presidential election has overshadowed much of the news recently. However I also know that many praying for us and elections in Ukraine over the past week.
Thank you!
Mainly the election was quiet except for the occasional violence when the police broke into the polling station to try to cover up fraud in a neighboring city. We appreciate your continued prayers for peace and freedom to worship and preach the good news of Jesus Christ!
Carpathian Mountain Conference
Last week we gathered our Bible school directors and teachers for our annual conference in the Carpathian mountains of Western Ukraine.
During our 3 days together we…
- Listened as our regional directors told us about how God is working in their Bible schools and churches
- Discussed the importance of critical thinking skills in the classroom
- Edited a new school catalog
- Hiked to the top of a hill together
- Prayed for each of our regional directors
- Presented the Good Soil materials and seminars
- Sang worship songs together
- Ate meals and fellowshiped with each other
- Organized visits to several schools
- Planned seminars in new locations
- Marveled at the beauty of God’s creation
Since most of us live in big cities it is nice to get away to a quieter place where the beauty of creations helps focus the mind on the Creator!
That’s me at the top of a hill with a couple of brothers from our school in Kharkov.
Thanks again for your prayers and don’t forget to keep praying for these men who are now back home serving Jesus and teaching the Bible in their own churches.
