This weekend we were involved in Taylor Creek Church’s mission conference. We had great time of fellowship with there people and enjoyed a lot of good food at the same time.
The weekend involved dinner with church leaders on Friday evening. Men’s breakfast and ladies tea on Saturday. On Saturday evening they had a special world missions service where all three missionaries got to speak for 20 minutes each.
Jerry and Cherry Patrick shared with the people about their ministry in Hungry and Bosnia and Jim and Carole Plunkit shared about their ministry in West Africa. Of course we also had some time to share about who we are and what we will be doing in Ukraine.
Christina and I were able to share again during Sunday School and I preached for the worship service. The whole weekend was ended with another potluck. Yes, we missionaries do love potlucks! More important than the food was the great fellowship.
Please pray for the pastor, Jason Katen and his family. After we arrived we learned that his oldest child Cody (15) is currently in treatment for cancer. His cancer was a side effect of a heart transplant that he received.
It was wonderful to share with their family some of the trials that we went through when Mishael had cancer. It always amazes me how the Lord can use our own testimony to bless and encourage others.
