Many of you have been praying for some time now concerning the purchase of a new facility for the CMI. How fitting that God would work it out for us to receive the key to this new facility the day after Thanksgiving.
After Yura, (Our executive director) and I received the key from the seller this morning, we decided to have a quick look at the new place. As we walked through the empty rooms we recounted God’s goodness to us in guiding us through this process and providing for it.
More than once during the process it seemed that the whole deal would fall through. There were many variables beyond our control such as a wildly fluctuating exchange rate, problems with banks here in Ukraine and necessary documents that no one seemed to know about until the last moment. When we looked back on the whole process we could clearly see the providential hand of God.
In fact just last week as we counted the funds we had on hand and how much we would need to pay for the facility, including all the taxes and legal fees, we kept coming up a few thousand short of what we needed. However, the day before we were supposed to make the bank transfer there was a sudden spike in the exchange rate. As a result of this unexpected change we ended up having a surplus of several thousand rather than a shortage! Had the purchase taken place the week before we would have fallen short of what we needed.
A big “Thank you” to all who have prayed and supported the CMI in this important new step. Now that God has opened the door for this new facility we are eagerly looking forward to new doors opening as we have more opportunities to train local church leaders in Eurasia!
Слава Богу! Praise the Lord!
