We left Friday evening by train for Bucharest. The reason we are going is to hopefully get our visas situation taken care of. In order to do this we have to travel to a Ukrainian embassy outside of the country. Thankfully, we have some good friends in Bucharest who offered to let us stay with them.

We were greeted by a wonderful snowscape on Saturday morning as we passed through Western Ukraine.
Just before the Romanian border they lifted the whole train with these jacks and put new wheels under the cars to accomidate the different gage track in Romania.
