February 10-11 about 75 church leaders gathered in Kiev for the CMI’s first annual pastor’s conference intitled “Life in Tandem, practical discipleship for contemporary churches” We had pastors and church leaders in attendance from down South in the Crimea to the northern edge of Ukraine’s border with Russia also from the far eastern city of Kharkiv to western town of Rivne. It was a blessing to see the enthusiasm these men had to learn how to create new leaders from within their churches. Although we had a few more than we expected we were able to successfully find a place for everyone to stay.
The men enjoyed putting their heads together for group work at the end of each session.
Everyone was thankful for the conference. A number a men expressed their gratitude to me and asked if we could do something similar next year. Please pray that these men will be able to successfully apply the truths they learned in their own unique settings.
