Last September I shared with you how armed men stormed into this church in Antratsit, Lugansk region of Eastern Ukraine and seized their church building.
This church was actively feeding hundreds of people and providing a bomb shelter for dozens of disabled people.
Miraculously their building was returned a couple of months later in a shocking answer to prayer.
Sadly, I received word from one of the church leaders this week telling me that their building was seized for a second time!
This is what he told me.
Some militants came to us and asked us to leave the facility. The word “asked” really means something this time because that’s the way it was. The militants were kind enough to suggest that we take the Jehovah’s Witness’ building in place of ours. The brothers refused from such a unique offer.
In the end we asked to conduct one more service the next day, they heartily agreed. Currently the building is occupied by representatives of the Donetsk Cossacks. This is a group of militants, who don’t always conduct their politics in agreement with the LPR (Lugansk People’s Republic). Today in Antratsit there was a lot of shooting and explosions because the LPR decided to run out of town the representatives of the Cossacks (those who seized our building).
We’ll see what will happen.
