It’s easy to say that we love our neighbors but how do we show that in real life?
Everyone wants to be a millionaire but wouldn’t it be crazy to try to give away a million dollars?
Theological education is great but why are there so many seminar grads just warming pews in our churches?
These are some of the issues that Dr. Michael Oh touched on in a recent interview I had with him during the The Gospel Coalition World Missions Conference.
Last week I sat down with Dr. Oh for a few minutes and asked him the following questions:
1. How did you as a Korean end up in Japan?
2. Tell me about how you came up with the idea of becoming a millioniare giver?
3. How can theological education effectively mobilize for missions?
You’ll have to watch the video interview to find out how Dr. Oh answered my questions.
However, if you want to know more about becoming a millionaire giver then I highly recommend that you check out “Finish the Mission“ and read chapter 4 “From Every Land to Every Land”, which was written by Dr. Oh.
Other contributors include John Piper, David Mathis, David Platt, Ed Stetzer, Louie Giglio, and Michael Ramsden. Dr. Oh is president of Christ Bible Institute and Seminary in Nagoya, Japan (the largest unreached nation on earth).
He has also very recently taken the position of CEO of the Lausanne Movement which Rev. Billy Graham started in 1974 in Lausanne, Switzerland. The vision of the movement is to:
Further the total biblical mission of the Church, recognizing that in this mission of sacrificial service, evangelism is primary, and that our particular concern must be the unreached people of the world.
What about you?
How do you show love for your neighbor in real life?
Do you give to missions? If so what goals do you have?
Why do you think so many theology students are just warming pews?

April 16, 2013That’s an awesome thought about being a millionaire giver. I had never really thought of it like that. What a cool legacy!
